Hi, this is my first post to this site. I drive a 93' F150. Play in the steering keeping me from driving it. Steering wheel play 180 degrees each way before it'll catch. Also, there is a whining while I'm driving and it's worse when I turn. Could steering pump be going bad? Would it whine if it's going bad? Does the steering box whine if it's going bad?

A steering pump will whine when it goes bad and they will whine when low on fluid.
