Its basically a device that causes the engine to dump more fuel. Its essentially a cheap 10 cent resister with a circuit to make it kick in after a certain amount of throttle... with the same long term detrimental results as a cheap 10 cent register.

It basically makes your gas pedal more sensitive. The same effect can be accomplished by pushing the pedal further. The dyno charts for it at 40% are exactly the same as stock at 60%. In other words, you're paying money for nothing.
