would you trade

hey i have a 1979 f250 camper special 4x4, i also have a 1999 f150 4x4, my question is would you trade the 99 for a 1971 f100 short bed, the body is in excellent condition and the interior is to the engine is mostly stock but runs great, it has a 302ci and auto trans. its a hard decision.

Man I would wavier value verse daily uses. I couldn't see giving such a wide band between to two models. I don't drive my three 78 & below trucks hardly out of my county; so having two 70's model is a problem. I got a 02 Explorer & other means of transportation for long distance drives if needed. I would consider daily driving distance and condition of trucks dependablitily. Don't get me wrong old trucks are less expensive to work on / repair; plus there just plain cool to drive & have.
Hope this helps..

The '71 would have to be in really, really nice condition(original or restored). I really like my bumps, but to say "trade" for a late model truck...probably not. I don't see the values as very close, unless the '99 is really whipped or alot of miles or such. It will be more expensive to repair then the '71 so in that case I'd look at it.
