Do any of our fine members here know if a stealership can cut a key for you with no more information than the VIN? It doesn't make sense that they would be able to, simply because of the fact that the number is visable to anyone that cares to look. I am only asking because I want a perfect copy and not a hardware store special.
If you have the registration or title in your name and with the VIN, they will make you a key from the VIN. May have to be the title only. You also need ID to prove that you are you. Usually a photo drivers license will do.

Well that is a little bit better news seeing how as I have all that stuff. Just any stealership can and will?
I know when I worked at a few dealers in high school the keys came with a 4 or 5 digit number. If you had that number I know for sure they could cut them.
