2002 Ford explorer door locks

Pry the trim piece around the door handle off. Pry the piece with the window switches off. Disconnect the window switch connectors. Remove one screw in there where the switch was and two screws at the bottom of the door panel. Pull UP (not out) on panel and armrest.
Seems odd that the doorlock actuator works in one direction but not the other. You can try spraying it good with WD40 or something but it might be bad. Good luck.

Removing the door panel is much more difficult than replacing the actuator, once you have the panel off. See post below, generic actuators are cheap. I would prefer to do it once and done.

Hi anyone ever discovered a drawing or picture detailing the linkage on the lock cylinder mine has shucked a plastic lever off the cylynder and i managed to procure another part but cant determine how it is supposed to go together again short of tearing the other door apart thanks jim
