Whats up,
When I pull up to a stop light or stop sign, my truck (1997 F150 4x4) starts to shack as it idles. The RPMS get really low...Any suggestions??
Hello,
Lets have some more information... Engine size, service engine light codes (if any), miles on the truck.
Sounds like you have a miss that is present under driving conditions but not as noticable until to stop at idle. I had a spark plug crap out at only 40k miles that wasn't appearent until I was at idle. However, could also be a vacuum leak at the intake or vacuum line, restricted fuel flow at the fuel filter, bad plug wire...etc.
It seems to me that you could have a problem with your I.A.C. valve which controls air at idle. It is usually located near or on your throttle body. It is a electrically controled valve that lets air into the engine while the throttle body is closed. Tap on this valve while your truck is at idle. If idle is improved replace the valve. If not a miss could be present.
