Hello from Bruce

Hello,

Just saying hello. I have a 2002 Ford Excursion - 7.3L Diesel. Just found a fuel oil leak today. Leaking down on the passenger side between the engine and the oil pan.

Thought it was a transmission problem, had that checked that is fine.

It may be a leak from the base of the turbo down the back on the engine.

The oil is thin like diesel fuel not engine oil.

Anyone with suggestions!

Thanks and look forward to any comments.

Bruce

I'm a new user and saying hello also. I'm also new to fords but do also have a diesel so I'm curious why fuel is leaking on yours. I suppose it is not as volatile and flammable as gasoline but is expensive to lose fuel! For your sake I hope it is simply a fuel line or fitting.

Not sure if it is fuel or oil. It appears to be oil, but smell sort of like diesel.

Checked the fuel filter seal and nothing there.

What ever it is, I am sure it will be expensive.

Let's hope someone has had some experience and can point me in the right direction.
