New Batterys
Had to replace my original (2002) batterys yesterday. Was real slow to start (course it was 8* this morning.) Went up to auto zone and they were both real low. -Got 2 of there best gold batts. Sure starts good now, even as cold as it is. Any body had good or bad with these batts?

Bill, as long as they are 850 cold crank or more, you should be good. When I changed my batts I bought them from ford dealer because the old ones lasted so long.

I have original batts in my 02 and its very tricky to start, either you let the GPs on too long without cranking and they will drop the voltage and it is hit-or-miss if the engine cranks long enough to fire (stock pump on BO programming), or you dont let the GPs on too long and the engine cranks and cranks without heat and quickly drains the batts. Im looking at yellow top optimas, despite my red theme under the hood. They will feed my hungry sound system very well.
