Will Ford replace a failed CPS on a 99 SD?

Just figured out my CPS has failed or at least I'm 90% sure. Will Ford replace this under the recall? My truck has 210,000 miles.

If you still have the black one, they should. If you changed to the gray one they will not change it.

My 99 had 180K on the clock and I got a few "warning signs" and took it in. I did still have the original CPS and it was no problem at all. As mentioned above, the determining factor is if you have the old "Black" one.

build date of 3/98..mine was re called and was re placed 2 weeks ago..just run your vin# and see if yours is on the list..
