How does one go about finding out what color (Code or name specific) their X is paint and interior wise? I am planning on painting the underside and would like to know what color i need. As well, a few days ago, i was at a local Ford dealership (without the X) and i was trying to get a trim piece. He was unable tell me what interior color i have from my VIN and he was asking me which "Tan" color i had???
If you look on the inside of the drivers door by the latch mech there will be a sticker. On that sticker there will be the code(s) you are looking for.
Thanks for the info... X is fantastic.!!!! I complete the transaction on Monday when i do the final Federal Inspection, which takes about 3 minutes (They really just verify that i now have "Daytime Running Lights". On my newly imported X from MA, there are some bolts on the underside that still appear brand new!!! Amazing...
I'll be completely detailing the engine area, changing out all fluids, cleaning up and completely repainting the underside. The intent is to paint the underside of the body the same color as the exterior and then POR15 most of the underside components/frame and then prime/paint to either a gloss or matte black...
