Whats the future for modular enignes?
Ford has made a final decision to close the Essex engine plant in Windsor Canada by October of 2008. All the 6.8,5.4 and 4.6 engines are built there.Ford has no other plant with enough production ability.So it makes me wonder what the future will hold.

Remember, Ford makes a lot of final decisions. Some good, some bad. Problem is they don't always remember what the decision was. Case in point....Ford dropped the SVT program. Then introduced the Shelby Cobra GT500 which is badged with SVT stickers....Go Figure? Ford then dropped the Taurus and introduced the Ford 500, which is now named the Taurus.
But I have to agree with the above, they will most likely be coming from south of the border in the future.
