That truck sure doesn't owe you anything! I just recently sold my dad's 94 Astro with 411 on the clock. Engine was all original but the tranny was rebuilt at 295.
My father-in-law had a Ford E-something van owned by a private courier that was in the 500 or 600's.
Had 580.000 kl on my 88 F150 orig motor trans & rear end it was a great truck
body was in great shape no holes in body
now have 2004 F150 hope it runs like & lasts like the old one
work truck has 483,000 kms it's a 97 f150 with a 4.6 the tranny has been changed but original motor, and exhaust up to the muffler. not too bad a shape less some of the dents that others have put in it
My parents bought a '98 Windstar brand new, and it lasted till year 2004 with 862,000 kms on it. They took very good care of it. Changed the oil and washed it regularily and took care of small mechanical problems right away. I can't remember what did it at the end. Something with the motor. Knowing the van was well taken care of, my uncle bought the van. He bought the engine and trans from a similiar junked van with low mileage and swapped it.
Now my parents have a used 2001 Windstar that had low mileage at the time. It's close to Rob's current explorer mileage now. My parent's cars have been driven cross country a few times. Family in Alberta to New Brunswick.
