Ok, finally got my ford running from return lines to the main fuel line actually being the problem. now oil is pouring out, from the angles I can get to and how small my tele-mirror is, it appears to be leaking from the "pipe" that the oil filter screws to. But it is leaking at the front of the motor. It looks like the peice runs under the manifold from the back (where the fliter screws on) to the front just past the exhaust manifold. Any idea if that seal or piece could go?
Could be Orings, a known problem or a bad header gasket or a hole in the cooler bundle. If you want the oil cooler info click on my name and email me or PM me your email addy...... Subject: Oil cooler R&R
We need to know "exactly" where it is leaking.
One other point........is the filter leaking but dripping off somewhere else.

Clean the filter mounting area of the oil cooler, lightly coat the gasket surface with clean engine oil and hand tighten until gasket contacts the base. THEN TIGHTEN ANOTHER....... 1 1/4 to 2 TURNS. Fill the crankcase and check for leaks.
