IVE HAD IT! Every winter my doors stick to my door seals on the top and then pull them off and it takes 5 min to get them back where they should be! Anyone have any advice on what to put on door seals to prevent door from sticking to it yet not hurt paint?! Also whats better to stick them on permatex or silcone? Hope someone can help me!!! Thanks
I would guess permatex as it is an adhesive more than sealant where silicone is more of a sealant.
You could also wipe the seals with white lithium grease which would significantly reduce freezing as well as keep them better longer. Water will not stick to the grease. I use that stuff for many things, especially the rubber on the convertible to keep it sealing...you can get it at any parts store...even walmart.
I used to use just plain old silicone spray on the seals of my Sentra when I lived in northern Maine. Just spray it on a rag & rub it well into the seal.
I've also seen some folks use silicone grease (they took it from the bench stock), but I didn't like it b/c it'd get on my uniform when I got in the car.

I take my trim off and then squeeze the "U" shaped channel with your hands or gently with a channel lock. Then you can spray a siliconized spray lube, WD-40 rubbed on with a towel, or A lot of Armorall. I personally use numerous coats of armorall once a month.
