new audio system

I am going to hook up 2 12'' subs to a 300 watt equlizer, or will i have to buy an amp? i have a new alpine unit and new speakers. so waht im asking is should i or can i use an equlizer oe do i need an amp?

you definitely need an amp to push those 12's to their full potential

i have a 94 regular cab and took out the bench seat and put 2 racing seats and an l7 in between them with a 5000 watt amp message me if u want to see the pics
