I've hit two within the past six months. The first was with my ex-2000 chevrolet silverado knocked that bow tie right tight off. I actually think it looked better without the bow tie and it did a little bumper damage around $2,000. Then I smoked this deer with my 2003 F-350 6.0 doing about 75. =( ouch.. I lost the blue oval too. 3400 in damage. and the meat was turned into hamburger instantaniously
A deer hit me last year just down the road from my place. She came at me at an angle from the side and I never saw her until my drivers side mirror slammed into the window and broke. I stopped and was worried about her, but she went down and then got back up and took off. Got back to my place and and my door would not open . Had to have front fender relpaced and both front and back doors repainted. Total was $2153.00
at Ford dealership. I had just changed my comp insurance from $500.00 deductable to $50.00 deductable. Since this was a comp claim, all I paid was $50.00,
Can't help with the bumper but I suggest everyone review your comprehensive deductible and lower it $50.00 Only cost me $57.00 a year more for the 50 vs the 500
deductible.
I've think i'm going to get this bumper this spring once i get back working it looks pretty heavy duty and would look great with a 6" lift http://www.alien-patrol.com/new/ford.html
We have "deer whistles" installed on all vehicles. They work most of the time. I get them for $1.00/pr. Above 35 MPH, deer & dogs usually will wait for U, or get out of the way fast.
try Ontario truck parts in Ontario, right on 104 (north side of the road) They have a lot of good used stuff there and some new stuff as well. I'm not familiar with anywhere closer in to Rochester but Ontario's not too far.
That damage to your trucks sucks! I've seen a durango where a deer got confused on a bridge that goes over the highway. It jumped off, went right through the winshield and rolled to the back(tearing the entire roof off of the durango). You got some bad damage but at least your o.k. Hope you find your replacement parts soon!
SJ....take a good look at your intercoolers....my grill wasn't as bad as yours but the rest looks pretty much the same as mine. My intercooler below the foglights was replaced too.

PS, I'm trying to get a doe's head decal done so I can record the 'kill' on the fender...I'll keep you in mind!
