LMC headlight covers

Well I bought them and got them in the mail today. Not happy at all. 1st The rubber trim around them is glued to the covers and very messy. They fitment is terrible and the way they mount is not good at all. I would not trust them to stay on driving down the road... Anyone else have these?

how much were they? any other opinions on LMC stuff? Seems high priced, but they have a lot of hard to find stuff...

I like reading the catalog at least.

Which covers did you get?

They were $50 Plus shipping. These are the ones I bought http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fd/0069.asp

Ive bought other things from LMC and been very happy. Yes their prices are high but its very hard to find some of the parts they have.

Have you checked the law in your state like the description says? In my state you will get a ticket for running those on the road. Happens a lot.

I've bought a few of the harder to find parts from LMC, but for most of my stuff I go to my local Parts City (Formerly Auto Value). You can get the replacement headlight assy. from them in the GLO line...

I like LMC and have used them a lot. I'm getting ready to put the bed back on my '84 so I puchased their bed bolt kit. I had to cut or grind most of the original bolts off when I took off the bed. Well, if you've ever done it, the original bolts are quite hefty and have a unique shape (it's hard to explain) that helps the bolt not to turn while you tighten the nuts. Well, LMC "replacement" kit is just 8 regular carriage bolts that I could of picked up at the local hardware store! Plus, most likely the holes in the bed will be too large and I'll have to rig up something to keep the bolt from spinning, or find the real bolts.

Anyway, sorry for the long story, but my point is LMC is like any other company. I again like there stuff, it appears they have parts no one else has, but you have to be wary sometimes when you order from a catalog and you gotta take the good with the bad.

I'm the same way Tom. I only order the parts from LMC I can't get anywhere else. I had to order the lower retainers for the cab mounts from them because I couldnt find them elsewhere any cheaper. It's something you could make yourself, but it's a PITA to do.

I never said anything bad about the company LMC. Im saying that the headlight covers FROM LMC suck.. LMC is great..

Made this thread to see if anyone else has the headlight covers from LMC and if they had any problems with them or if they fit/ worked great.

They do look good from a distance though.

A friend of mine bought some from LMC a few months ago and didn't hear any complaints from him
