Recalibrate Electronic Throttle control?
This has probably been covered before, but a search has not resulted in what I need to know.
Someone mentioned hesitant throttle response and possible need for recalibration.
Is there a recalibration process for the drive-by-wire V-10's?
Can this be done at home, or is this a shop procedure?
Can a dummy like me do this?

I think they meant a reflash or reload of the "calibration".
I think the TSB for that issue says to reflash the PCM with the latest software, and replace the TPS (pedal sensor) and the throttle body.

Yes it can be done at home.
Turn on key.....(do not start)
Slowly press pedal all the way to the floor
Hold for 5 seconds
Slowly release pedal back up
Turn key off.
Repeat as many times as you feel like..... (3)
Throttle position now recalibrated.
Turn on key.....(do not start)
Slowly press pedal all the way to the floor
Hold for 5 seconds
Slowly release pedal back up
Turn key off.
Repeat as many times as you feel like..... (3)
Throttle position now recalibrated.
