tranny temp not working

Just but an isspro gauge in dads trucks and it quite working. The light works and all wire are connected good. How many ohms is the sender supposed to be?

Possible your fluid is just cold?
My gauge starts at 140*. At this time of the year I dont get much movement in the gauge without a winterfront.
