question

i have 86 f250 460 4barrel i was told it was a 5 speed but i dont find 5th at all if i put shifter in where 5th i supose to be my back up lites come on so is it a 4 speed or is 5th blown thanks in advanced

If your truck is original, it did not come with a 5 speed.

The 5spd wasn't available in an F-250 until the late 80's. I got my 5spd out of a 1990 F-250.
