The bw1356 is an awesome t-case as long as you dont drown it in water, I have a 90 f250 w/302 and 160k on it. I just replaced my 1356 and the guy at the junkyard said they rarely sell them because they last so long. I had an 85 f150 w/a np208 and it jumped and skipped all the time in 4wd, but it might have been driven hard at some point. Ive also been told that the 208 is fairly easy rebuild.
