Thinking on trading in
I have been thinking on trading my 2wd EXfor a 4wd EX. I have had mine for over 3 years and this is the first year I have been hung up twice in the snow. My boys are getting into snowmobiles so I go where the snow is. I just wonder what my '01 2wd xlt v10 w/62K is worth, and what I can do on another used one. There is alot of them for sale here. I would even consider a 5.4 one if the price was right. I know I would be giving up some ride.

hit cars.com and autotrader.com and see what 'comparable' Ex's are going for. Trade in value...well that will be significantly lower...you can go to kbb.com and see trade in value...many dealers go $ for $ what kbb.com reports for trade in...at least you would know.
In Indiana we don't pay sales tax on the trade...only the 'difference' value...so when deciding on selling privately vs trading...I always add 6% (the sales tax) to the trade value to arrive at what the deal is 'really' worth.

I recently paid just under 22k out the door for my 05 X V10 4X4 35k miles. About 2,500 of that was payoff on the trade in, plus another 1,500 sales tax. Diesels were going for about 6-10k more out here in CA. Good luck.
