Hey all...a few of you may have seen me floatin around in the F-150 forums but now I'm looking into a Diesel....1997 F-350 SRW 4x4 with a 4 spd Granny.....rebuilt tranny,x-case, and new rebuilt rear end....300k Plus on the ODO strictly a work truck...I know the guy that's owned it since it was new.....Needs windshield (cracked) door hinges, Glow Plugs, and possibly a starter....This would by no means be a daily driver...maybe heh heh....I'd liekt o know the ups and downs of this era PSD (7.3 btw) as well as the body.Oh yea, single cab.....and what can I expect fuel mileage wise?I can get it at a VERY goodprice and he only wantsto sell it to one person..he'd rathernot sell ti at all but e's in a hard place.....Thanks for the info ahead of time and sorry for the long one...Later

Best diesel engine in a truck ever... then again I'm partial.
For mileage, it all depends on your driving style, and how well maintained it was before you get it.
at 300k I would say it is going to be tired, but these engines are amazing that they can even get that much.

He's been very good to that truck so i know it's a good one...My driving style has improved since I first got my license and a 4 spd granny is by no mean a racer anyways......Later and thanks Iasrap...
