Bed rails

Years ago there was a company that made bed rail that would unfold in to a ladder rack. When not in use you just fold them back and looks like regular rails. I can't find them any where nor remember the comp. name. Do anyone know what I am talking about and where to find them. Thanks

Well, give me a million start-up and a little time and I'll make one for you. Seriously, I haven't even looked at the site, but that's a heck of an idea, and bad management must have killed it. I'm gonna build at least one, mine..............A little later........... Just went to the website and a thought occurred to me, maybe these things weren't safe. I built a homemade rack out of 1'" steel tubing w/ o a welder and put more than 500lbs. on it. On second thought, maybe a rack like that holds too much liability for manufacture.

I spole with the mfg. They told me the the inventor that holds the pat. wanted almost per set as they were selling them for. They said there was no money to be made at what he wanted and wouldn't sell if they raised the price to make a profit. I seen one last week and it was nice. The guy love it and said it was sturdy and held ladders, lumber and what ever else he needed for doing his side work.Let me know how you make out.

Thanks, that seems like a reasonable retail price, definately a prob with manufacturer. All that and $5.00 will get you a good cup of java at Starbucks, but it gives me something to think about.
