slipping gears
i have a 97' ford ranger xlt auto 4 cl
i am now having problems where if i put myself into drive it doesnt want to go anywhere. it acts like it is in nutrule. and then when it finally kicks into gear it does take long until i stop accelerating it kicks out again.
please help me!!!

Ok, fisrt off, what is your fluid level. It is probably low. Second off, when was the last time the fluid was completely replaced and you had a new filter installed? What condition is the fluid in now?

i checked my fluid level and i am fine with that
But i found a leak under my car and it seems to be a coating of trany fluid on my pan
but my fluid is still fine level wise
should i try to replace the fluid and filter or do u have any idea wat that leak might be from
