As I was reading down the list of threads I had to re-check what forum I was in. Carbs and plugs...now that's funny. I know it doesn't seem like it would matter much, but if my muffler bearings haven't been torqued down just right I lose 10 - 15mpg right off the get go. Same thing happens when I let the blinker fluid get low.

Ya, alot of people forget about those muffler bearings, especially with all the new exhaust DPF and everything.. CHECK YOUR MUFFLER BEARINGS!

It's also good to change the air in your tires once a month, and you should change the oil in the gearshift shaft housing that leads to the steering box every 3000 miles. Oh and don't forget to grease your lug-nuts every year!!
Thats a fine ride. MPG..............WOW. What will happen when it brales in?
I like the blinker fluid check also.
Well, blinker fluid can run low...but whatever you do: don't let the front and rear light fluid levels go below the minimum! You'll get pulled over.
Those dang muffler bearings...don't last! Not on the new trucks. However, I hear you can squeeze a few more miles out of them if you loosen up the hickey-doo that's tucked in the frame.
I don't change the air in my tires...i just rotate the air in my tires...i've been having good luck with it. Also with a six speed, if your going 70 mph you can shove it into Reverse and you'll find a hidden 7th gear
I had a piston return spring go out the other day right through the hood. It is in the shop right now they said that they could put in stronger ones for better mpgs, and more hp and tq. Cant wait!!!!!!
