My First PSD
Hello,
I am in the middle of purchasing a 99 F-250 4x4 Super Cab Long Bed Lariat with the PSD & six speed manual & 125k. I was wanting to make it into a trailer puller that can be used to go cruisin' on Fri nights. I want to put an exhaust on it that has a deep rumble & a little bit of "cackle". I am planning on putting a cold air intake, airbags in the rear & an exhaust brake. I am thinking a 5 inch strait pipe with a 6 inch tip. I may also put a chip in it as I want it to blow a little black smoke when I shift. Any Advice? Truck has less than a thousand miles on a new clutch & rebuilt (manual) transfer case. The owner is a friend & paid $11k for it. It is in good condition with fairly new 285/75/R16 Tires. It is kind of a stripped down Lariat. The leather seats are manual & it has only a cassette player. I believe it is one of the frst 99s as it has the PSD badge on the fender instead of the door. I can probably get it for $10k. I would greatly apprecite any tips or advice as this is my first turbo diesel.
