This is my second post so a little tolerance please. I just picked up an 03 6.0l Powerstroke. Havent had time yet to pick up a service manual. As a Volunteer firefighter I'm forever leaving my headlights on after the dash to the station, mainly because my other vehicles have auto on/off lighting. I am wanting to relay through my ignition switch to turn off the lights when shutting off the key. Any help on ignition and headlight wire colors and locations would be appreciated. Cheers.
Pull the fuse panel cover.. You'll see the fuse panel to the left, if you look beside it you will see a MASSIVE creme colored box.. There is a 14-16ga Red Wire coming off it.. That is a key-on source, thats where I taped my relay for activating my distro block with key on.. You could use that and cut the Parking Light/Headlight wiring from the switch box and run it to a relay activated by that circuit.
