Catalytic converter replacement
Aftermarket brand names available:
Catco
Eastern
Magnaflow
Walker
They all run pretty close to the same price.
Here are some other options:
Direct fit - includes piping, flanges, etc. No welding required (I don't think)
Universal replacement - just the converter module, will have to be welded in
High flow - something called "Flowmonster". Sounds like a knockoff of flowmaster to me
So what do you think? Any of these brands bad? Should I buy the direct fit, or take the thing to a shop and have it welded in?
There are two "bulges" in the lines coming off the manifold before it gets to the "y" on each side. I am assuming the front one is just an elbow. Is it in fact a 2 part converter, or just an elbow?
Maybe I should just get some of that muffler repair putty from the autoparts store and stick a bunch of that in there.
It's the right side (passenger) that is leaking. Should I replace both and do some sweet upgrade to help produce more power? I like power. Mileage would be more desirable though.
Any and all experience is welcome.

BTW, I noticed an increase in power, but I also did a complete tuneup with o2 sensors.

To many to list.
