Question Question about a CHEVY!!

Ok guys just here me out. A buddy of mine has a 97 chevy 1500 Z71 4WD. He wants to put 2500 leaf springs in the rear, will it bolt right up? I figured someone here would no thats why im asking. I refuse to go to a chevy site so i thought you fellas could help me out.

it should bolt up and there are a number of good chevy sites out there where the people arent jerks .. dont be afraid to try them

My brother did the exact same thing. Bolts right up. Changes the ride though.

Why bolt a set of 3/4s on the back?
-If he's doing it to tow, don't you need to address the issue of the axle strength?
-If its for lift, why not just put a block under it and get about the same lift?

I guess nobody ever said all Bow Tie boys made sense..
