Need some help

I am a 18 years old and will be heading off to college in the summer. I currently have a 2003 f250 with 6 inches of lift and 38's. However driving it everyday you just seem to fall into the "wanting to become bigger addiction", as I am sure some of you know how that goes. My question is I have had thoughts about finishing up with 9 inches before college and possibly running a bigger tire size. The thing is I am not sure that travelling back and forth from school to home would be the best thing and without trying to spend to much with a new a drive shaft and all of the other parts, I am thinking that sticking to the smaller details to just make the truck look better all around the way it is now and the engine. I just thought I would throw this out there and see what some of you think? Thanks.

I got a quote today for $960.00 but I am sure its more with the extras and the risk of breaking things

Yeah and I just think eventually this probably won't be the smartest choice. I think it would be one thing if I drove this truck on the weekends or something but I believe there just might be way to much that would need to be changed to fit with the new lift.
