man really appreciate it. Maybe we should have this stickied for others struggling with the same problem. Locations to look for their codes. there is enough locations to look in this thread that it would be worth it.

5.4 engine and tranny trouble

I've just read the 5.4 Ford truck engines have a problem with the spark plugs blowing out, or weld themselves to the aluminum heads, making it very difficult to remove. Any one know of a way to prevent this? Also I read where the same engine and truck have transmission problems ( late 5.4 engine F 150's) I'm towing a boat to the Florida Keys soon and want to make sure the trip is trouble free. Any info provided is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tom

Hey Rob you have a great looking truck. I bought a 2014 F-150 Lariat with the ecoboost and 3:55 gears . I have ine question for you Do you have a K&N filter in your rig ?, I just pu tone in mine and My MPG Dropped 3MPG . I was just wondering if you had this issue also.
