302 CFI Intake

I'm running a rebuilt '85 302 non-HO CFI. I am aware there are different versions of the CFI throttle body. I'm wondering if the intake and injectors on the different throttle body's could be bigger then what I'm running. I'm looking for some more performance out of the computer controlled cam I installed. If anyone can help I'm in desire of more horses!!!

There is usually a degree of over capacity in any fuel delivery system, so as long as you are not expecting to double the HP or somethng, you should be able to make do. With basic EFI system the O2 sensor is usually the main feedback mechanism, and the computer just tries to maintain 14.7:1 A/F ratio based on this sensor's input.. regardless of total air volume moved. The motor has to be able to move more air though, so the intake and exhaust must be up to the task. The stock exhaust on these vehicles is very restrictive and should definitely be opened up.

How does the motor run with the upgraded cam?

You can always ditch the CFI throttle body and bolt a 500 cfm Holley 2 bbl in it's place.
