Engine displacements

I am trying to find out the 6 cyl. engine sizes in a 1964 Ford truck. And if a 1964 6 cyl will fit in a 1967 truck.

Thanks

There are 2 available engines in a stock 64, a 223 I6 and a 262 I6

Neither will interchange to a 240 300 for 67.

So you can't take a complete 223 or 262 and drop it in the place of a 240 or 300. Someone I know has a six cyl out of a 1964 and he said it was a 240. How do you tell the difference between the motors?

I am actually pulling a V-8 out and wanting to drop in a 6 cyl.

Thanks for your assistance in thisThom

One has the intake/exhaust on the drivers side and the other on the passenger. I think the 223 is on the drivers side.

Thanks John, you are right. I looked closer at some manuals and sure enough that was the difference. Thank you for confirming it.
