starting troubles
anyone have any ideas on this ? I have 2003 6l with 160km when it is cold it starts but will not idle smooth and it blows black smoke out exhaust . If you shut the truck off and restart it it cleans up and idles smooth. I have tried to disconnect the egr and no difference .I have checked the glow plugs ans the voltage draw seams fine so I think they are all working. It only does it when it's cold in warm weather it is fine.,and when it has been started and warmed up it startes fine no smoke smooth idle.Hopefully someone has seen this and can help me out.

How cold is cold? what oil are you using? What fuel are you using? Fuel filters last changed? where are you located and when was the last time you ran injector cleaner through the system? There is a possibility that you have an injector misfiring?
