Ok guys I think Im gunna try out the Weinand Stealth intake on my 460 and was wondering how much taller it is than the factory manifold. Anybody have this manifold on a 460 in a 78 or 79 truck with an open element air cleaner and no body lift. Theres probably nothing to worry about but it never hurts to check.
Thanks alot

I have a Stealth on my 460. It's about 3" taller than a stock manifold. If you use a filter element that is only 3" tall, there should be no clearance problems. I have a 5" tall K&N and it won't clear the hood on my truck. I'm also using a drop base air cleaner.
I'm currently running the factory air cleaner housing w/ a 4" K&N so the lid sits up about an inch from the base, and also have a nitrous plate under the carb. Don't have any clearance problems yet, but it is getting close.
One more question, the 8012 stealth is for square bore carbs correct. Im pretty sure it is.
Thanks
