A Plan Newbie
1. Do you receive the value of factory to dealer incentives?
2. If you do, how do you know if there are any?
3. I saw there was an extra $1000 dollars to A Plan members who own a non Ford vehicle. It was to end on October 1. Does anyone know if it's been extended or if there are any other hidden things I need to know?
4. Lastly, I am debating between a V6 and small V8. I won't be hauling or doing anything else where I need alot of power, but when I want to pass someone, I want to be able to have enough power to do that. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks for reading this, I appreciate the help.
I live in Fla also. I have a brand new V^ 4.2 Ford XLT with alot of extras on her. Absolutely no problem with power, torque, or with passing anyone. Just dont expect the 6 to get much more mileage than the V8 when it comes to gas. It is a good truck so far.
Right now, Ford is offering $2500 rebates on F150s, (perhaps other pickups too, I'm not sure) if you take delivery before March 5th, 2002. (Buy or Lease)
If you are a returning Ford Lease customer, there is an additional $500.
An example of price differences are: Truck I am buying regular price is $27,675. "A" plan price is $23,366.95. "X" Plan price is "A" plan + 4%, or 24,301.68 "A" plan price is OVER $4000 cheaper for the exact same truck.
There are two additional items I am buying that need to be added in (tonneau cover & bedliner), but the price shown is for a 2002 F150 Styleside SuperCab, 4x2, 6.5' bed, destination charge of $715, 5.4 l engine, 3.55 ls axle, Trailer Towing Group, Cast Aluminum Wheels with P255/70r tires and sliding rear window.
Many other items are no charge and are included in the base vehicle.
No fancy paint this year, no power driver seat, but tilt steering, power windows/mirrors, speed control, a/c, stereo with single CD are included.
You need to have your brother find out how to go about getting you a **pin** (Personal ID number) for your next vehicle purchase and if you are thinking of a truck...position yourself with a dealer so that you can take delivery March 5th UNLESS Ford announces something better for March 6th. Your brother needs your social security number, your name, and address - I thinks that's all.
Gee, too bad you're not in Michigan, I would hook you up with my saleslady - I have stuck with her for over 10 years... she's over an hour drive away even though there are at least 6 other dealerships within 10 miles of my house. I'm picking up my new Silver 2002 F150 TOMORROW!! woo hoo.
