Wrenchfests??

Wrenchfests??
Just curious, and maybe we are all too spread out for this, but the BMW forum i used to subscribe to used to have wrenchfests. Thats where one saturday every couple months, several users that were close by woiuld get together for a day and just help each other work on/ modify/ maintenance their vehicles. Usually it would involve a grill and burgers at some point and beer as well. If you live within roughly 2 houirs of a central location it's pretty fun. Just curious as to if anyone would be interested in doing this. Heck for all i know it may be already going on and i just did not know about it. They also had a yearly event "5er Fest" much like smokin in the smokies form what i hear, and i do hope to attend that (smokin) this year!! I am in the upstate of SC (Greenwood). Anyone remotely close to here? I think someone is from Charleston, thats about 3.5 hours away, may be too long a drive for a one day event- may not, who knows.

i, as well would be glad to host one here in SC. i live close to the North GA (1 hr to Athens) border as well as relatively close to the NC southwestern Border (1.5 hrs to Hendersonville). My brother in law lives in Middle GA and i am sure he would be interested in doing it as well, maybe even hosting one.

Im in Gilbert, near Columbia, SC, and would be willing to try to attend or possibly host one. I would have to talk to my father-in-law, but he has a small shop with a lift less than 1/2 mile from my house. Definitely cant promise that, but he has a 7.3 also, so maybe there'd be some motivation in it for him. It would be a while though, Im currently in AL for some training for another couple of months.

10-4, i am in greenwood and while i dont have a lift i have 4 jsck stands two 3 ton jacks all sockets and wrenches, a mig welder, etc... have to use my drivewway as neither my truck or my wifes excursion will fit into our garage, but i would be willing to host one as well. maybe around march or something?
