early b-day present. Need some help!

It's my b-day in a few days and my parents decided to give me my present early. It's a Jensen VM9311TS, 7" touchscreen, plays all kinds of cd's, dvd's, mp3's, I can control my Ipod through it, etc. Anways I am more of a DIY kinda guy and I know that the install on these is pricy when brought to a shop. Does anyone know where I can get a vehicle specific and stereo specific installation kit so I know that when the 7" screen flips up it's not going to hit anything? Or would I be better off bringing it to a install shop? The more and more I think about it, I'd rather have a pro put it in and fork out $100. Thanks guys!

Here's a link to the headunit:

Since the head unit is a gift, I'd have it installed by a pro. They do it all the time and to me, it's not worth the headache.

ok.. i've installed a couple of these... there not that bad... if you have installed a couple higher end cd players... then ... its about the same... all the main ... harness wires.. are basically the same.. the only differences.. from a regular cd player.... is that.. theres way more rca connections... also.. theres only one rca plug.. versus having 2 for a right and left.... and as far as it not hitting anything when it comes out and such ... if you have a pick-up from 92-96.... no problems... go off with a hitch.. besides.. stuffing the wires in the dash ... behind the unit... those are gonna take a few extra minues... but as far as prior trucks from 87-91 i believe they had that werid trim ring and the radio was below the heater controls.. thats gonna take some alterations to make fit..and not hit anything on the way out especially if its a stick shift..... but after everything is all said and done its up to you ... to have somone install it or not.. somone thats never done a cd player or anything before yes... take it in.... but if you've done a few cd players in your life... then .. your golden...
