ice fishing?????

any one know of a good source to find out ice thickness for inland lakes in Michigan?

oh wow, that would be nice to know

i got about 4-5 inches on my lake here and about 2-3 inches of slush on top of that. =(

and where are u? i was out on long lake (just out side of traverse city) today
and it was 3-4 inches with a few thinner and thicker spots. fished for an hour and got nutin. didnt expect much for my first time out ever. its sad im 21 and today was my first time ice fishing.

it's -35 up here with the wind so we are making ALOT of ice this weekend. Looks like we will have good ice for our fishing serby next month

Our local gun club has a fishing derby on Shakey Lakes here in Menominee County. They have it on the free fishing weekend and we have a pretty good turn out.

Sounds like a good time, to bad it's a 6 1/2 hr drive for me. Guess I will have to fish down here. When is the free weekend? I didn't get a fishing license this year, gonna wait til spring to get one for 08.
