Wish Me Luck

Time to stop procrastinating and get my FASS system in. Hopefully this evening I'll have good news, but don't be suprised if I'm back on here defeated, mechincally inclined I am not and this isn't like I'm working on one of my tractors(so simple of machines). I'm off.

Refer to the FASS website often or post back here. I'll be on most of the day if you should need some info/help/moral support.

Thank you I appreciate that. Particularly the last one, this is really the first thing that I have attempted to do on my own with the truck that is this involved so I'm nervous(which is way I procrastinated til this late when I've been up and running since 530 this morning(of course it was too cold then to do any work)). Thanks again and I'm sure I'll be on here again. I'm off like a herd of turtles.

I'm finally done. I'm just not smart enough for this type of work. She is going good though. Hopefully I got all those fittins on tight enough, otherwise, y'all might not have me round here all that much after my truck hosts it's own bbq. I didn't see anything on the lit. that came with the FASS but what is the maintance schedule on these filters? Also is there anything that I should be keeping my eye open for(other then the don't go under 1/4 of a tank that one I think I'll be able to remember)? Thanks for the support and keep your fingers crossed that everything is on there good and tight. I'm off to have some home made cherry pie(even the crust is home made by the way, gotta love the girlfriend that can bake(and that likes to bake)).

Congrats on the install! I think my next 6.0 mod will be the fuel crossover, then maybe the FASS system.

Where did you get the regulated return? How was the installation?

Enjoy that homemade pie, you're a lucky son-of-a-gun!

I actually got that thru Bean(same place I got the FASS from), but I had him install that when he was doing my injectors, fluidampner, and headstuds as he was only charging me the labor for the headstuds, I couldn't beat that.

Deep dish took 3 cans(tried 4 at one time, but that was too much) of cherries(packed in water, no syrup filling, so more cherries per can) and already half gone, other half is for breakfast(of champions).

Hope you don't mind me going off topic again.....

How many miles do you have with the Fluidampner? How many rpm do you turn your 6.0?

I've done my fair share of that so it doesn't bother me one bit.

I have about 15k with the fluidampner. I have been all over that tachometer, typically I run anywhere from 2500 - 2900 with occasional bouts of 3600(man I love getting on the throttle with those bigger injectors). Now I do have 4.30 gears on my truck so even if I were to stay at 70 I'm seeing 21-2200 on the tachometer. Feel free to ask me anything else.

I have both sitting in my tool box in the garage just waiting for me to get the time to install both and waiting for weather to get warmer.

And Kepler...i've had my fluidampr in now for about 1000 miles and it seems to be a lot smoother idling. And depending on what tune i'm running it spins anywhere up to 4000 rpm.

I haven't hit quite that high yet, maybe I ought to give it a shot tomorrow weather permitting(supposed to have some snow flurries in the morning, but that afternoon supposed to be back up to high 50s so who knows).
