chrome bumper scatch

Last fall the bean head just barely scratched the rear bumper on my truck. It is now showing a rusty color. I was tempted to put a bumper sticker on it. Is there something I could spray on first to help hold the rust at bay? I thought about a cold-galvanizing, spray paint we have used on grain bins. Let me know if you have a remedy you think might be better.

My opinion, would be to sand the existing rust off, seal it with something (i.e. paint) then put a sticker on it. Or better yet find some Chrome spray paint. In all cases clean the rust off first!

very fine steel wool and a chrome sealer, you may need to repeat this every few months, but you'll be amazed at what steel wool can do for chrome bumpers
