adjusting valves?
ok this is a dumb question.. but... im rebuilding my 1968 429 thunderjet.. and I am wondering how do I adjust the valves? or do I ? do I just run the rockers all the way down or what do I do here???

It should have a non-adjustable valve train, where you just tighten down each nut on the stud holding the rocker arm to published torque values.
I'd suggest you consider purchasing a set of Crane or other locking nuts ($25, with an Allen set screw to hold the adjustment) so you can adjust lifter preload. You'll notice a big difference in performance and idle.

I think what George means is the 429 thunderjet came with screw in studs and rail rockers the studs where shouldered and you screwed the rocker arm down to the shoulder so there was no real adjustment Eric
