I put a 2.5" leveling kit on and i was wondering if the new angle of the upper control arm and the rods up front are in too much of a steep angle. maybe over time it mite cause problems? who has had theirs on for a long time? any issues? i love the kit and want to do the back now. which is my other question. who has the 1.5" add a leafs? how much? too stiff? it is a truck..thanks yall
GIP...no sense gettin huffy!! There are several active threads here regarding leveling kits and either AAL or airbags on the rear...did you read any of them?? Any search results? Of those 21 views, maybe none of them can truthfully answer your question. Give this site some time and you'll get your answer...in a more mature and factual way than at some other site!
I am also concerned about the UCA ball joint angles, but figure I'll deal with any problems that may arise. So far 12,000 miles and no probs.
My personal choice was to compliment my Truxxx 3" level with Firestone Ride Rite #2350 airbags. This way, the bags could have minimum psi with no load, and the truck would sit level and ride like it should. But once a load is put on the tail, just pump 'em up with some air, and the truck will again sit level but the ride will be greatly improved. AAL's, to me anyhow, would compromise the no-load ride and jounce you around. But I can't say for sure, since I didn't go that route.
If you're interested in the Ride Rites, either check a sponsor here or hunt on e-bay...I got my setup for $220 plus $15 shipping from performance suspension, and am very happy with it.
Or you could go AAL's...but I can't offer any insight there.
