2006 w/ 27k. Well yesterday evening, i was on the way home and use tow/haul while i am in traffic. I get close to the driveway and let off the gas, at about 15 mph i hear a grinding noise that lasts about a second. Dont think much about it b/c at this point, my exhaust is loose and has been banging on the metal clip hanging by the spare tire so i write the noise off as that. Well today i am driving down the road about 55mph and let off the gas to coast to a stop light and at 35mph before the truck bumps down to idle I get this grinding noise again. Get stopped and go to put it in park and as it goes to park it makes the grinding noise. Later that day it slipped a tiny tiny bit going from 3rd to 4th. Now tonight with a 7k trailer on take off its making a clunking and grinding noise. Is my tranny gone? The tranny temps havent gotten above 180* on my tranny gauge.
Here is a little history w/ my tuner. I recieved an SCT tuner from Matt a week before Christmas and ran the Hybrid Race for about eight days and ran the aggressive tow for about an hour. Truck ran fantastic and after the tranny went through relearn it shifted awesome. It has been back to stock for about two weeks b/c i have been doing a lot of towing lately. It sucks b/c i have a nice weekend of fourwheeling planned and if the truck cant pull the load to S. Ga i am gonna have some pissed off buddies. Any thoughts are appreciated
Honestly, the two are most likely coincidence. Most bumping/grinding noises are the downpipe on the firewall...take a close look. I've fought TONS of horrid sounding exhaust noises coming from the downpipe when it vibrates. The additional load and body torque from the 7k load will make the chassis twist more, forcing the downpipe harder into the body and making the noise worse. This piece of advice comes from more experience than I really wish I had on the subject
As far as a light tranny slip; shoot me over an email with the info about which tune it occured on. I can make some shifting changes for you
Appreciate the feedback. It is too dark tonight but i pray that is the case. It very well could be b/c i had to have the stock cat delete pipe replaced today because it was too small and an MBRP one put in its place. Guy had a really hard time getting it in and hopefully knocked it out of line. I pray that is the case Matt.

Got the email; I will get to it ASAP...but it will be a few days at the least; we are swamped.
If the exhaust has been played with on the day it happened, I'm relatively certain you will find that to be the case...so breathe a bit easier
For peace of mind I went and borrowed a flashlight and sure enough the downpipe is sitting firmly on a crossmember bolt 8in before the cat delete connection. You are the man Matt!
