Question glow plug replacement

I am new to the forum and to diesel. I am going to replace all 8 glow plugs this weekend. I tested the voltage on them and it looks like four out of the eight are bad. I guess that could explain my non existent cold starts. I just was wondering what else i should replace while I have the valve covers off. I guess the only other thing would be the valve cover gaskets correct? Would anyone have a part number for those? Thanks for the help and all of the great info on this site. 97 psd

At a minimun check and inspect the gaskets. you could also throw in some injectors while you are there. LOL

Check the resistance of each plug contact to ground. Check the harnesses too as opens measured at the valve cover outside plug could be the wiring harnesses under the valve covers. Have to check it all to find out if it's the plugs themselves, wiring harnesses, or contact pins.

If you are going that far I would do the injector O-rings at the same time.

Thanks guys. I ordered motorcraft. if i check the harness for resistance, what numbers am i looking for? There is oil all over under the hood so i am thinking it is leaking from the valve cover gaskets. am i wrong?

The oil could be a pedestal o-ring failure.
