Highboy parts help

Hi guys I am in need to find a place that will sell me a C-6 rear tailhousing for a highboy. The truck of coarse has a divorced t-case. does anyone know where I might find one???? Tried a parts locator and it sucked! Thanks

Did you try the FTE classifeds or FTE sponsor Mikes Truck Salvage ?

When I did mine from a 4sp to a 460/c6 I just had them make me a shorter driveshaft and it worked realy well

Yeah but mine is a 4X4 and I need the tapped hole in the side for the shifter. Plus I bet the highboys tailhousing has a mount that raises the rear of the tranny higher for the intermidiate shaft to go to the transfer case instaed of the driveshaft going to the rear axle? Thanks any help to find one of these would be greatly apprciated!

Mil1ion I e-mailed mike's salvage, I guess we'll have to see if they respond. I am getting pretty desperate at this time! I cant believe this part is that hard to come across.

I used a standard c6 long tail shaft made the mount for the t-case shifter and had an eleven inch drive shaft made using the slip yoke in the tranny and the same size u-joint as the transfer case. I just had to move the crossmember back a little and used the stock tranny mount. it's been that way for abot 5 years I plow snow and haul a car trailer and camper never had any trouble.
