Another E350 Axle Question

I got rid of my 91 E150 3 years ago and have regretted it, so I picked up a 85 E350 last night.

It is a 460, C6 Trans and I'm guessing a Dana 61 rear end, but I can't tell for sure.

I can't read the entire BOM stamp as the numbers are faded, I tried buffing them with a light scuff pad and even tried bringing out the numbers with chalk, no luck.

The only things that I can make out on the BOM stamping are:

CR8 X1 ZO C0887NA-1, but I can't be certain on these numbers.

There is an axle tag on the diff cover, but it is un-readable.

The VIN tag on the door frame states that the axle code is C3, as much as I search, on here and other sites, I can't find out what C3 is. Short of popping the cover off and measuring ring gear OD (maybe I got lucky and got a 10.5" Dana 70!) and counting teeth, anyone have any idea what this rear axle is?

Thanks,

Dave

Try doing a search of rear cover pics on websites and just match it up.

That would be easy if the covers on the Dana 60, Dana 61 and Dana 70 weren't the same. Plus that would not give me any idea on axle ratio.

Just in case anyone wants to know:

1985 E350
C3 code on door sticker = Dana 61, 3.54 Trac Loc
BOM is actually 605252-3, I was looking on the wrong side of the axle
