block heater plug

Ok, I'm tired of replacing the plug on my block heater. I bought a Marinco plug but now where to mount it. I would like it to stay on the driver's side of the vehicle. It takes a 1 7/8" hole. In the past I have seen pictures but I couldn't find those posts by doing a search. Just looking for a little input. I have a 2002 F-350.

I'm not familiar with the Marinco plug, buy you should be able to snake the wires through a much smaller hole before you wire up the plug. That should at least leave you with more options.

This is the type of plug that mounts to the body so it's a hard mount. Not the old floppy plug.http://overtons.com/modperl/product/...ew&i=34531&aID=

That's a nice looking plug. Your either going to have to drill a hole or mount a bracket to accommodate that thing. I may put one of those on mine since I've got a Ranch Hand bumper it will be a lot easier for me to install a bracket and mount.

Good luck.

CaptPicky,

The link below might help you out. It looks like a good layout to me.

Thanks Rick...thats kind of what I'm looking for except my bumper goes all the way down. I'm not sure how easy it would be to drill a 1 7/8" hole through a chrome bumper.

Not a problem I used a hole saw and put it in on the diesel that I had. I mounted it on the passenger side right below the rubber strip on the bumper and always received many comments on it.
