Engine Romping, No Power

My buddys 02 F350, 7.3, auto, 66 K, has had this strange thing happening once in a while. The trucks engine will start running extremely rough, almost Romping, and he will have no power. The fastest it will go is 3-4 mph, and it sounds like crap when it does. He has replaces the CPS and a trans sensor at the stealership. He also had the #8 injector replaced. Still it does this. Anyone have any ideas?????

like Ron said check UVCH harness, and make sure check the harness thet goes over the VC for any rubbing and cut wires, cause this seems to be a problem too on some trucks.....

Check engine light comes on when its doing it, but goes off when it starts running better. No code comes up when checked after.
